It depends on where and how often you plan to eat. If you want breakfast, lunch, and dinner and are willing to eat at "counter service" places, you shouldn't starve if you go with $50. If you want to go to the fancier table service places expect to spend more to a lot more depending on which ones and what you like to eat. If you go to the Disney World website you can look up the restaurants and even see the menus, which should give you a good idea of what to expect.
