"525" represents the metal's fineness; i.e. the amount (out of 1000) that's pure silver, so 525 silver would and be 525/1000 or 52.5% pure silver and 47.5% some other metal or metals.
Silver's measured using an old unit of weight called a troy ounce. Assuming your item is weighed in troy ounces, its raw-metal value is then 52.5% of the value of 1 oz of pure silver. To get that number you'd need to check a site like kitco.com because silver changes in value every day. Any specific value posted here would be out of date almost immediately.
