1/10 is visible
no No, although only 10% of an iceberg is visible above the surface, icebergs will float until they dissolve into the sea.
Remembering that only about a tenth of any iceberg is above the water, Titanic'sberg was about 96 feet above sea level.
The part of the sun that lies directly above the visible surface is called the chromosphere. It literally means "sphere of color".
chromosphere.....is the thin layer above the photosphere
Chromosphere
The Vishnu Schist was exposed when sedimentary layers above it were eroded
1/8 of the iceberg is at the surface while the rest remains. This is an average iceberg (based on titanic)
The tiny water droplets in the sky form clouds.
The number of visible sides if one if viewed from the front or side. The elevation from an angular position would give two face whereas all four triangular faces will be visible from above. So the answer will depend on the viewing position. In every case, the dimensions of the triangles would be required to find the visible surface area.
The ship!
The photosphere of the Sun (its nominal "surface") is where visible light is produced. Above it, the chromosphere is a region of bright red color, with a transition layer between it and the corona.
When air high above the Earth's surface is cooled below the dew point, it is likely to form clouds. Clouds are visible mass of liquid droplets or frozen crystals made of water.
