Almost none of the world's power comes from wind currently. It may be possible to create 3 to 4% of the world's power from wind, but it has many drawbacks. The two most prominent being the need to run fossil fuel plants at idle (thus only feel good savings) and the fact they killed 100K birds just in Massachusetts alone. They have no real useful power and should be banned from an environmental standpoint.

Yes they did kill lots of birds but there there is a new sanctuary for them elsewhere already. They generate 2% of the worlds power and, although this doesn't sound like much, is a huge amount of energy. They shouldn't be banned, they should be promoted. (see discussion)
60% of the worlds energy is wind energy.
They both are a type of renewable power (which comes from the energy of the Sun).
because its power comes form the Sun.
Disadvantages 1)Wind power needs a lot of land. 2)wind power is a hard subtences to get in a town where they do not get that much wind . 3)Towns that do not get this much wind that is needed for the turbines .
Look at the Wikipedia entry for 'Wind Power' and you will find in section 5 of the article a table of different countries and how much wind power they have.
Wind power is not generated by countries, it is a global phenomena.

wind power comes from the wind but the wind is not all also you don't need the wind all the time.
When there's no wind and when there's too much wind.
Wind power generates electricity. This is fed into the grid and comes along the power lines to your house.
