( Motorcraft FL-1-A ) engine oil filter for the 289 cubic inch V8 in a 1966 Ford Mustang
Put oil in it and Use the dipstick to see how much is in there.. when it gets full that's how much goes in there! Einstein.
40 to 60 lbs
The 1989 Ford Mustang 302 cubic inch engine has an oil capacity of 4 quarts. The engine oil should be changed every 7000 miles or every three months.
5 with filter change
My Chilton repair manual shows ( 5 quarts - U.S. ) WITH FILTER CHANGE for the 302 V8 engine in a 1976 Ford Mustang II
In my 1991 - 5.0 LX ( 302 ) there were ( 2 ) drain plugs in the oil pan because the oil pan was designed to clear the rack and pinion steering
With engine oil filter change ( 6 quarts ) for the 4.6 liter V8 engine according to the 2010 Ford Mustang Owner Guide
I believe that is 5 U.S. quarts ( 4.7 liters ) with engine oil filter change
5 quarts total, 4 in the tank and one in the filter
As much as the dipstick tells you to.
In the Mustang of that year having a 6.75 in. rear end in it you would need 2.5 pints of gear oil. This is 90 wt. oil. If you have a 7.50 in. rear end, you would need 3.5 pints of the 90wt oil.
