In the Mustang of that year having a 6.75 in. rear end in it you would need 2.5 pints of gear oil. This is 90 wt. oil. If you have a 7.50 in. rear end, you would need 3.5 pints of the 90wt oil.
Put oil in it and Use the dipstick to see how much is in there.. when it gets full that's how much goes in there! Einstein.

1 quart
enough to fill the master cylinder
The 200 cubic inch straight 6 cylinder in a 1966 Ford Mustang holds ( 4 and 1/2 U.S. quarts with engine oil filter change )
5 quarts
is it auto or manuel?
4 pints.
About 1.25 liters of oil goes in the rear axle of a Ford transit. It takes 75W90 oil when you replace it.
1000-1800 bucks if its all rusted
I'll sell you my all-original 3.3 liter engine out of a 1966 mustang for $750 If it's original it will be worth more. A larger motor will be in the thousands
