oil filter is under the battery, oil drain plug has the number 4 on it toward the back of the engine. The clear lens on the right side of the motor is the oil level check. (MAKE SURE THE BIKE IS UP RIGHT WHEN YOU CHECK IT. NOT ON THE KICK STAND) and the oil fill is to the left of the clear lens oil check. just take the two hex screws out and remove the chrome cover.

Per the Factory Service Manual API Rating SF or SG with a viscosity rating of 10w/40 is the only thing in the book. I've been using Bel Ray V-Twin Full Synthetic in mine for 18,000 (after initial 500) miles but that was my decision and has nothing to do with the factory specs.
