In order to sustain the rainforest, its deforestation needs to be stopped, or at least slowed. The world's rainforests are being depleted much fast than they can replenish themselves. To accomplish sustainability in the management of the rainforests, it can only be used or consumed at a rate at which it can re-grow. There are many different reasons that the rainforests are being cleared. These include, but are not limited to: agriculture, ranching, urban sprawl, mining, oil, gas, wood, and paper. All of these industries have a lot of control over what is done to rainforests and believe it or not, getting the rights to protect them is very difficult! The needs of the human population have started to overcome the need to sustain the biodiversity found in the rainforests.
About 30 percent of 100 is destroyed. But nowadays people don't really care anymore.... But also scientists and human - environmental- lovers are trying to put effort in this by helping to plant more trees and rebuilt forests. Thank you for asking. It's quite interesting... Tan PS If you are willing to help... try planting trees.
