At the same time these flavonoids actually increase your HDL or good cholesterol levels and decrease the likelihood of blood clotting.

yes it is true that red wine is good for the heart yes it is true that red wine is good for the heart ** Recent studies have shown that red wine can be a benefit it taken in limited quantity. A glass or two up to three times a week can be a benefit. Although a recent study also indicated that men can have up to 2 alcoholic drinks and women one drink per day and gain some health benefits. Although saving up the drinks and having them all at once is harmful to your health.

Resverastrol is the ingredient in red wine that is beneficial for the heart. It is found in grapes (and therefore, in Grape Juice and wine) and in nuts. So you don't really need the wine at all.
