I'm not sure if any more education is required after that in the US but in Canada after you obtain your accounting degree you must apply to one of the accounting institutions depending on which designation you wish to obtain (Certified General Accountant, Certified Management Accountant, or Chartered Accountant). After you get accepted you must then complete some more classes (it varies slightly depending on which designation you choose and which province you are enrolled in) and write an extensive test.
