I dont know what a garage would charge you to fix it. But i know you can fix it yourself pretty easily. There is a Right way and a Cheap way to do this. The right way would consist of a 4 wheel alignment which is usually 50 dollars alone. That would be the best way to go since the broken tie rod broke from hitting something. If its just a bad tie rod end you would still need it aligned but you can usually get away with counting threads or using a ruler or measuring tape. You need to put the new one in the exact same place as the old one as far as the overall length.
Quick answer?
DO it yourself, 25-50 dollars depending on if you have all the tools or not. (seperator fork or C-clamp, socket that size, Hammer with some weight to it, wrenches, SPRAY stuff for loosening the old threads. Where there is a will there is a way and im sure even the most novice mechanic can figure this one out. If you get it back together and it doesnt steer right, you can try adjusting it again yourself by turning that sleeve some more one way or the other or just drop the 50 on an alignment which will pay for itself anyway. Considering if you drive it with the tie rod out of adjustment it will chew tires off.
Hope this helps

You will probably want a Hayne's repair manual. You can find these on eBay, or usually at Canadian Tire.
