OMG!! This is SUCH an easy thing to do - do it yourself. The part costs between $20 and $30 and depending on which one you need to replace can take as little as 10 minutes. I paid over $300 to replace ONE last year and then found out during a spark plug change how easy it was (they sit right on top of the plugs) and I could just KICK myself....
Part can be bought from the part store for about $150. I found the part on e-bay new for about $50. I would imagine a dealership would charge close to $300 or better repair.
You should buy the Bentley manual as the ignition switches have changed over the years.
The ignition switch should be separate from the ignition key/lock assembly, so I'll say no.
for damage to the ignition sight tube
A quick fix for a fuel filler door on a new Beetle automobile is to use a paperclip where the hinge should be. If the door is completely broken off, a new door should be purchased.
THere usually isn't an ignition on an oven. You should have a pilot that's lit. If not you need to get an appliance repair man or a plubmer to fix your gas.
A local TV repair service facility should be able to take care of this for you.
Google for entire assembly from scrapped vehicle. Should not be too expensive.

no, but you have to remove the complete assembly. There is a clip on the assembly inside the engine compartment - undo the clip and there is a tab that you push up and you should be able to feel the assembly move - sometimes you have to pry the outside of the headlight with a screwdriver and the whole thing slides out. Unplug the harness and open the back plastice and the bulb is there.
you can repair cv joints if you have the right tools and knowledge, if not it would be better and less aggrivating if you had the job preformed by a licensed mechanic, this way you should have a guarantee and no guess work.
It should.. I have a 79 1600cc in my 65 beetle.
