Please check the back of the coin; you'll most likely see that it's a HALF dollar. If so, its weight when new was 12.5 gm and it's made of 90% silver and 10% copper. That means it contains about 11.3 gm of silver.

The last Peace dollar was issued in 1935 so it can't be a 1942 Peace dollar. Look at the coin again and post new question.
