Do not bleach. Chlorine bleach will dissolve silk. Hydrogen peroxide will also damage silk. Take to the dry cleaner and praY!

Most men's ties are washablt. In the event that it is a silk tie, you may not want to wash it as silk is a delicate fabric and can be damaged quickly. I would take your silk ties to the drycleaner.

Every time I have washed raw silk in water, I have destroyed the luster of the garment. Dry clean only sadly.
Watercolour has a short drying time. It only takes minutes for the paint to dry. The time it takes for the water to dry is how long it will take for the paint to dry.

cotton takes a long time to dry because it has capillaries (hollow inside) which absorbs water which makes it take longer to dry. Hope my awnser is good enough for you! XD
