cotton takes a long time to dry because it has capillaries (hollow inside) which absorbs water which makes it take longer to dry.
Hope my awnser is good enough for you! XD

Cotton wool is coarse cotton fibres used for first aid gauze and tampons. Yes, cotton wool will dry in air given the time for whatever moisture it contains to evaporate.
Watercolour has a short drying time. It only takes minutes for the paint to dry. The time it takes for the water to dry is how long it will take for the paint to dry.
10 minutes :)
no it needs to be hot and dry for long periods of time and that dosent happen in otago!
the cotton thread have capillaries (hollow inside) so it absorbed water, which takes long time to evaporate while nylon thread is solid (inside) having no absorption power, the water is stick on its surfaces only so it requires less time to evaporate.
not long, not short just in time for your pizza to be cooked :)
You don't have to but it does keep it really nice for a long time. Some spots/stains have to be gotten out with water/washing though.
it depends on what setting you put it on. if you put it on hot and make it dry a long time then it will shrink. you should dry it parcially and then hang dry it or just hang dry it so you dont make any chances of shrinking it. (:
A day or so- oil paint takes a very long time to dry
