Attorneys are subject to their employers' and their courts' calendars. Most courts and firms are closed on major US holidays (July 4, Thanksgiving, Christmas, etc.) Depending on their work schedule, there may be a need to work on holidays.

Assuming a family lawyer is a human like you are and a Resident of the US, he will have all the same Holidays that you enjoy. Unless his specific Law Office has him working on a particular day like Labor Day, he will likely have that day off.

People like waitress', casino employees, taxi drivers, hotel workers, cooks, fast food workers, and other people who perform services to the public seldom get holidays off. If a company closes on holidays the employees get the day off. If the business stays open, they have to wotk.

That is because even bank employees deserve to take time off. Just like we get days off during holidays to spend time with our family (for ex: Christmas & New Year) they to deserve to take time off and spend time with their families. They are also humans and just because they work at a bank does not mean that they can't take any holidays.
Of course Muslims should have religious holidays off. For one thing,there arent that many holidays compared to Christian and Jewish holidays. And second,where i live,the Jews can hav all there holidays off,but muslims cant.
Just got a mail back from Funderland.com. Off Peak means any time other than Sundays and Bank Holidays.
Recruits don't get any time off for traditional holidays, let alone Navy holidays. You'll get time to yourself and usually a break from the usual grind since everyone else on base is off (save for the cooks and those standing security watches) but the only leave you'll see is when you graduate.
