The 2005 Lincoln Navigator doesn't have an automatic transmission fluid dipstick , if your transmission isn't working properly or you suspect a leak take it to the dealer
According to the 1998 Lincoln Navigator Owner Guide : ( Motorcraft MERCON automatic transmission fluid ) * the type of fluid used should be engraved in the automatic transmission fluid dipstick or indicated on the dipstick handle *
Check your manual.
Doesn't have one its a sealed transmission.
I have a 2003 Lincoln Navigator with a 5.4 engine and it use the following: TRANSMISSION FLUID - Motorcraft Mercon ATF (16.4 QRT) TRANSFER CASE - Motorcraft Mercon ATF (2.0 QRT)
The 2004 Lincoln Navigator in has a standard RWD configuration of its transmission assembly making it easy to access and service. Dropping the pan involves removing its 20-bolt pan, its gasket, and strainer filter assembly. Mercon V ATF is the specified fluid for this application.
You have to drop the whole transmission pan, then refill from the transmission dipstick
The transmission fluid on a 2003 Lincoln Aviator is changed by placing a drain pan under the transmission and removing the drain plug. Once empty, the plug can then be re-installed and filled with new transmission fluid.
Yes, and mechanic can change your fluid.
very carefully ^_^
Remove transmission oil pan if no drain plug
A 1997 Lincoln Continental will use Mercon transmission fluid- AX4N Transmission
