You have to remove the transmission pan. you dont drain you go to an oil change place and they will suck the oil out thru the filler tube on modern transmissions when u drop the pan and change the filter you do not get the oil that is in the torque converter,so u are not doing a proper oil change it has been roven that dropping pan and filter will lead to a quick death of the transmission

drop the tranny pan and its right there. unlpug in and get a new one and plug it in. you should also change the govenor pressure sensor while your in there... and the tranny filter! hardest part is gettin the pan down without drinking the tranny fluid.
