Well, I've seen some numbers that a single wheel will collapse at about 300 kg of static load. On a bike there are obviously two wheels to share that burden, so it should be able to take more. However, this was for a static load. During actual riding the bike will see load transients caused by bumps in the road, so the function max allowable load is probably a bit lower. No note that just because it is possible to build bikes this strong this doesn't mean that all bikes are built this strong. Particularly in the road bike crowd there's a huge interest in keeping bike weight down as much as possible, and there you can frequently find both components and bikes that are only rated for a certain rider weight , usually somewhere above 100 kg.

"Normal" is too vague, it's all down to the type of bike. A DH MTB can still tip the scale at close to 20 kilos(40 lbs), an XC MTB half of that. A road bike 7 kilos(abt14) lbs and yoyr basic upright commuter around 15 kilos.

Sort of. High-end road bikes might come with weight limitations, but the rest is more down to riding style and expectations. One (standard) bike wheel can take about 600 pounds static load before collapsing. The dynamic loads of riding are of course different, but with a bit of attention to riding style and choice of bike almost everyone can ride a bike.

Very much depends with how you ride, and what you think of as an average bicycle. Road bikes tends to get into troubles with riders over 220 lbs, unless special care is given to the design and build of the wheels. But if you're a careful rider who stays on even surfaces you can get a bit more out of them.

Depends. A high-end race bike can be around 18-20 lbs, while a department store full suspension MTB can be up around 40 lbs.

It would be the same as the average mass/weight of anyone in the general population + the average weight of a bike, say just below 30 lbs.

What is the weight limit to ride a bicycle?

I just read on Schwinn.com that there are no weight limits for Schwinn bicycles because it's more the way the bike is used rather than the weight of the individual on the bike. Their example is 120 lb boy riding bikes over curbs, bouncing on the tires, etc. will do more damage to a bike than a 400 lb individual riding the bike for exercise purposes.
