At least 30 minutes for each session before fat burn begins. Running slow and keeping your pulse low for longer periods of time teaches your body to burn fat instead of carbs. Correct recovery meals are also important
Depends on how hard you're working out, and what you're eating.
Let's say you can work out at an intensity of 500 cals/hour, and the general guideline is that 3500 calories burned equals one pound. So in theory, about 140 hours of cardio would lose you 20 pounds.
But in reality, it's not as simple as that.
The math above will only work if your eating is pretty much spot on to start with.
Let's say you're overeating with 1000 cals/day.
That's easy enough, it's only about two cupcake's worth of calories.
Now you'd need about 2 hours of cardio just to get back to square one for that
day. To create any weight loss, you'd have to keep exercising.
So, assuming you manage to get your eating(your calorie allowance) right to start with, doing cardio one hour daily would give you a good chance of losing 20 pounds in 4 months.
20-45 minutes of cardoi at maximum heart rate for weight loss
It depends. You may be working hard or using an online teacher, and working hard, opposed to sitting on the couch and doing sit ups.
Diet is also important to manage while you are exercising. Wrong food can offset your weight loss target even if you spend hours at the gym.
You could lose a lot of weight in kickboxing cardio. Kickboxing cardio is a great way to burn a lot of calories because you are always moving around. It all depends on how hard you exert yourself.
Cardio and eat healthy! Sorry to say, but there's no other healthy alternatives. By exercising and eating right, you will lose weight AND be much healthier. Best of luck!
It depends on more than just the equipment you use. You can lose weight with any cardio/strength training routine. As with anything it's all in what you put into it.
Well in order to lose this much weight it is a good idea to start with cardio, for about a week, then do a mixture of weight lifting, and aerobics. And always keep a healthy diet.
This depends on what type of cardio workout you are doing. Cardio is a form of workout which aids in strengthening your cardiac muscle. To lose your weight by doing cardio activities really do take a little longer than you directly target your muscle and do weight training. The myth about weight training among the women is they would gain big huge muscles, which is not true. We females do not have as much testosterone compared to a male. The female body builders take special food and supplements to gain such big muscles.
Kickboxing is a great way to lose weight, learn self defense and tone up. Predicting how much weight you can lose is dependant upon your eating habits and commitment to the program. On an average, individuals who eat a low carb diet and do kickboxing at least 3 times a week, can lose from 1 to 2 pounds per week.
Cardio exercises allows you to move a lot, in turn, you lose as much calories in one session. Limit your food intake and exercise regularly to lose weight. I would also suggest you swim or do brisk walking. Use the stairs and take long walks, these too are cardio exercises.
If you do sit ups every day for a while, you may lose weight. However, you will tone your abs and stomach muscles but not have much weight loss. Sit ups don't get your cardio function up.
I would say you can lose as much weight as you want. It all depends on you. You have to work out! There is no doubt about it. If you stick to a work out regimine (cardio and/or weights), and eat sensibly, you will burn fat and gain muscle. Don't think about it and dream about it. Just do it! Good luck!
If you are already working out with weights, and you are eating properly (i.e., not severely restricting your food intake) then you will not lose muscle; you will gain it. However, you might consider adding some cardio to your regular workout. Cardio exercise burns many more calories than weight training, although cardio does not strengthen and tone your muscles as much as weight training does. But do the cardio exercise BEFORE the weight training. I don't know why, but if you do the weight training first, you will be too tired to do the cardio. If you do the cardio first, you will be full of energy when you are done (as long as you don't overdo it) and you will have no problem doing the weight training. But keep in mind that muscle is more dense than fatty tissue, which means that muscle weighs more than fat. So, if you are gaining muscle by working out with weights, you most likely will not see a significant drop in your weight (unless you are significantly overweight), but you WILL see a significant drop in your body size. In other words, while the numbers on the scale may not go down dramatically, your clothing sizes WILL go down dramatically.
Any type of consistent cardio exercise can help you lose weight.Running (cardio exercise) is very good for weight loss (but it is also hard on your body). Cardio walking to lose weight is also very good. It is easier on your body than running or jogging and it is sustainable long term. For more information about how to use cardio to lose weight, see the related question, further down this page, listed under Related QuestionsRunning can help you lose weight. If you stick to eating healthy foods and stay away from junk foods, running will help you start to lose weight.
In order to really gain muscle size from weight training, you have to eat in excess of your maintenance calories, and lift heavy. Your genetics also play a role in how much muscle you will put on from weight lifting. If you're looking to simply lose weight, weight training is, in my opinion, a better choice than doing strictly cardio. This is because your muscles are then burning extra calories even at rest. Whereas when you do cardio, you are only burning extra calories during that cardio session. If you are trying to put on as much muscle as you can, and eating about 600-700 calories higher than your maintenance, then you will definitely get bigger, and not lose much fat, if any at all. You will probably even gain some fat in the process. However, when you decide to diet down after putting on some size, the extra muscle will help burning off extra calories. Just remember that exercise alone won't make you gain muscle or lose fat - diet is the most important. You need to eat according to your goals.
