You burn approximately 100 calories for every mile you walk. For every 3500 calories you burn you can lose approximately one pound. So every five days that you walk 7 miles you should lose one pound.
Weight gain and loss is based on both diet and exercise. If your caloric intake is greater than the amount you burn during the day, you will gain weight. So this needs to be taken into account as well.
I don't entirely know but it does lose a bit.
But try jogging 1 mile every second day on your treadmill. And take a 1 to 3 minute break in between every quarter of a mile. But in those other spear days try a sport. Like Tai Chi, Yoga or even Swimming.
obviously,
when you work out you lose weight.
and by eating the right foods in a smaller portion and the right ratios you will lose weight.
this means the ratios are roughly vegetables:3 Meat:2 carbs: 1.5
Any attempt at weight losshas to start with controlling what you eat, as the foods we have available today can be so high in calories. If you aren't controlling your intake it's pretty much impossible to exercise any weight away.
And 2 miles for one day ONLY, well, that won't lose you any noticeable amount at all.
Once again - you've got to start with controlling your diet. Once you're able to do that and get in several exercies sessions each week you should be seeing some progress. 2-3 pounds/week is easily doable on a controlled diet.
There's no real answer to that, it all depends on how hard you ride, how long you ride and how much you eat. And unless you have your eating under control it's almost impossible to lose weight by exercise alone.
And riding every day might not be such a hot idea either.
Unless you're accustomed to riding, starting with such an ambitious schedule can lead to soreness and even injuries making it real hard for you to stick to your plan.
If you're a real rookie you will have to start by getting used to being on the bike first, before you can start riding enough to burn any useable amount of calories. Maybe 15 minutes every 2nd day until that feels comfortable. Step up to 30 minutes, every 2nd day. Then start thinking about either riding daily or longer periods every 2nd day.
To burn meaninful amounts of calories you need to keep at it for some time. If you can manage I'd recommend aiming for one hour.
I can drop almost a pound/day when I'm out touring, but some of that is muscle mass, which isn't really a good thing in the long run.
For a sustainable result 1-2 pounds/week is a decent goal to aim for.
There's really no telling, it's all down to what you're eating and how hard you're working out.
With the high-calorie foodstuffs we have available today, every attempt at weight loss pretty much has to start by controlling your intake.
For most of us, it's just not possible to exercise hard enough to compensate for a really poor diet. One single cupcake outside your allowance will take something like 45 minutes of hard workout to use up.
But with a controlled diet and exercise, it's possible to lose 1-3 pounds/week w/o any health concerns.
2 miles, walking, is maybe 45 minutes low-intensity workout. A good start, but only worth perhaps 250-300 calories.
Well that would depend on how much you already weigh, how fast you were riding and walking, and how your own body works.
it would depend on what you eat, your size, and how fast you walk.
By eating healthy foods & exercising everyday!
it depends how much you exercise.
you can make yoursalf go faster by eating healthy and lots of exercize everyday for a few weeks.
Not really but it depends on the method you're using to lose weight

1 to 2 pounds a weeks is a healthy rate to lose weight. The first few weeks will certainly be much faster, as much as 5 pounds or so. But you didn't gain all the weight in a few weeks, so don't expect to lose it in a few weeks.
This is a normal weight. Just continue to eat healthy and take your prenatal vitamins. If you have any concerns talk to your dr.

Losing five pounds in two weeks is possible, but it is not necessarily a healthy or recommended approach. Depending on your body type, the amount of weight you need to lose, and other factors, it may be difficult to reach your goal in such a short period of time. If you are dealing with a significant amount of weight, it is best to try to lose it more slowly, over several months or even a year. Doing so will help you to maintain a healthy lifestyle and ensure that you are losing weight in a healthy way. Additionally, it is important to consider the type of exercise you are doing and the type of diet you are following. A balanced diet and regular exercise are essential to losing weight in a healthy manner.
