Contrary to internet myths, there is no evidence that Medicare will be cut as a result of the Affordable Health Care (Obama Care) law. There have been suggestions made by various conservative members of congress about how to cut the deficit and rein in spending, and some members want cuts to Medicare, but none of these suggestions has been acted upon at this time.

ObamaCare (or, more properly, the PPACA) is not a insurance coverage plan. It is a legal regulatory framework concerned with making substantial changes to both the government-sponsored health plans (Medicare/Medicaid) and the private insurance plan market. Thus, you can't "buy Obamacare". In terms of the economic impact of the law, that's a complete unknown at this point. The law and changes are complex and far-reaching, and we won't have even a basic sense of the economic result until 2018 at the very earliest.

Barack Obama did not explicitly state that he would cut 500 billion dollars from Medicare during his presidency. This claim was made by opponents of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) in 2012, suggesting that the law would lead to reductions in Medicare spending. However, the ACA aimed to slow down the growth of Medicare spending, not cut it by $500 billion.
you will have to take care of yourself
