$200-$1500, it depends on the year, make, and model.
Salvage yard or dealer for the transmission. Transmissions can also be purchased at any auto parts store. I would not install a used catalytic converter. Install a new one, sold at any auto parts store or muffler shop.
Just ask any auto parts store for an OEM style converter.
Assuming you mean Catalytic Converter, your local auto parts store should be able to get you either a bolt in type or a weld in type.
Chevy dealer, auto parts store, etc.
Bat Auto specializes in the detection and repair of catalytic converters. This is the part of the car that filters out pollution in the exhaust gasses. The catalytic converter can typically be found under the car between the engine and the muffler.
A bad catalytic converter and stopped up muffler will slow down the car. The catalytic converter is under warranty up to 84,000 miles, if defective. If you ran over a speed bump and damaged it, you have to replace it. You can buy a lower catalytic converter for $120 from advance auto parts.
A person can find a catalytic convertor in several different places. Some of these places include Auto Parts Warehouse, Advance Auto Parts, and Auto Zone.
Before purchasing a catalytic converter for one's vehicle, one can compare prices by visiting a number of auto shops and checking the prices at each one of them. Some shops have their prices online as well.
It has to do with your cars exhaust/emissions system, more specifically, your Catalytic Converter (Catalyst). If it is 'below threshold', then it is basically worn out and needs to be replaced. The Catalytic Converter super-heats the exhaust gases to reduce emissions into the atmosphere. Take it to your local auto repair shop to have it inspected to be sure. There is usually no charge to look at it. Be prepared to spend anywhere from $250 to over $1000 to replace it, depending on what type of Converter your car has. Hope this helped
It really depends on the kind of auto repair you need they can cost anywhere from $75.85 to remove an alarm to $1,001.74 for replacing a catalytic converter.
I wasn't aware that there was a middle oxygen sensor. I have a 1997 Villager that was vandalized and the catalytic converter and O2 sensors were stolen. From what my mechanic tells me and Auto Zone there are only 2 sensors, one in front of the catalytic converter and one behind it.
The one before the catalytic converter will cost around $40-$65. The one after the catalytic converter will cost around $75 to $100. It also depends on if you have a 4 cylinder or V6. Any auto parts store can tell you the exactly cost.
