if i remember right a 2004 grand prix is a front wheel drive motor so it wouldn't have a read axle just rear wheel bearing

i had a a 98 and was quoted 600.00 from the dealership...You can do it now for about 300
$400.00 bucks total thats including labour and tranny fluid, my 2 lines running to the tranny cooler popped this morning and the 2 lines need be replaced and have to be ordered from GM, each line is over $100.00 bucks.
The cost would depend on where the engine is leaking from. A leak from the main seals is far more expensive than a leak from a gasket.
Ebay has them for $36.99 and up with shipping. They come with a 1 year warranty and the part is brand new. I just purchased one for my 97 grand prix gt.
