The de-scrambler is a digital cable. You do not need the cable service if your home is already wired.
Speakers are analog devices. There is no cable and connector that will connect a digital audio jack to a speaker without a digital to analog conversion and an amplifier. If the audio output is digital, you will need a compatible amplifier that has the same digital input. Then you will need to link the amplifier to the speaker with exterior grade cable.
the best cable would be an optical digital cable
Traditional cable is analog, which requires more bandwidth per channel. Usually you need a cable box to receive Digital cable which shall also include High Definition (720p) channels if you subscribe to them. You can also receive local HD channels with an antenna, but you'll need a new television that can receive digital channels or a digital converter box.
The LG LHB335 only has an optical digital inputs. If your cable box has an optical digital output, connect it to the Digital in #1 (TV) with an optical cable. If your cable box only has a coaxial (RCA) digital output and you want to use the digital audio connection, you will need to purchase a coaxial to optical digital converter. The Monoprice 2947 is less than $20.00.
If you get your signal from a cable company you might, all cable companies are not the same.
If his TV is cable ready and your cable company offers basic cable with out a cable box then just use a cable rated splitter and run the cable to his TV without a box he will only get basic and probably advanced basic. You need a cable box or a TV with a built in decoder to get digital signals.
Very probably yes. If your new TV is High Definition, you will need to get a new HD cable box from Comcast, for which the fee is a little higher.
No. If your TV has cable service then it doesn't matter whether or not your TV is digital. If you're trying to pick up channels with an antenna though, you'll need a digital converter box. fuld fol envivo ECUADOR BER SU BENESUELA
Yes you can Plain and Simple. I have Digital Cable and Have Many HDTVs in my Home. It is very Easy, just ask you Cable Provider if you have any Questions. You also may need to Subscribe to Some HD Channels which will add to your bill but you Can manage what Channels you like when talking to the Experts! :) Hope This Helped! If you have the digital converter from the cable co. you might need to tell them you need the HD channels for them to be sent to your house. They sometime block them on a standard channel Scribner.
You must have a converter box. In my area I have a choice of two different cable companies, Time-warner, and Verizon FIOS. Verizon requires you use their box. My service was cut off a week ago and I am still trying to get them to send me a free box. You can also pay to lease their DVR, box. Time- warner will lease you a box as well with or without DVR, but you can also use an off the shelf box. I am sure that all other cable companies will be doing the same thing soon enough. Well, it depends. The guy on top needs a digital box to have cable. If you are like me, I got cable a long time ago and mine is just "connect the cable wire to the wall and to your tv"(I don't really know a lot about cable terms). I think comcast requires a box now. I do get a few channels, but not all, since it's basic. If you are talking about the digital transition, then you don't need to buy a digital coverter box, because you already have cable. The digital tranition on Feburary 17 only affects those who still have atenna tv.
