Depends on the labor cost. Had my 2003 S Type R's recently done. Gaskets we $80 per side and labor to replace the gasket was 3.5 hours. Came to $440 overall job. Do not have the dealer do this work. @ $145 per hour, it doesn't take the dealership doing the work. Find a good mechanic and they should be able to clear the issue. Have this fixed ASAP so you can avoid further damage.
not sure if this will help but, try mademan.com/mm/how-install-head-gasket-1996-jaguar-xj6.html
If you get a new engine it will have a new head gasket
You will need a head gasket replacement if the head gasket has blown. Have a professional check it out. You did not give enough information for me to say one way or the other.
Not necessarily. Check the rocker gasket.
No, they have nothing to do with each other.
Approximately $1,500 is the going rate for a head gasket replacement.
looks like your head gasket needs replacement or your cylinder head is crack
head gasket lets compession push coolant ont into over flow
Possible cracked head, or head gasket needs replacement.
Head gastket located between the engine block and the cylinder head. Going rate around $400 at a local repair shop. The gasket is cheap however the replacement is labor intensive. If you don't know where the head gasket is you definitely want it to be replaced by a professional. Saludos,KW
Labor around 500.00 plus cost to repair head or replacement, plus gasket set (100.00-give or take)
For a permanant cure the head gasket must be changed the head will possibly require skimming as well to ensure flatness Dependant what engine is fitted head gasket replacement times are qouted as between 6.1 & 9.0 hours best wishes
