The FAL isn't an assault rifle - it's a battle rifle. For an actual full auto, transferable, NFA rifle, be prepared to part with about $15,000 or more. For a pre-ban semi auto LAR (which is what the semi auto civilian version was called), expect to shell out $3500 - $4000. For a post ban, 922r compliant "Frankengun", $700 - $1300, depending on manufacturer.
Less than 100 to 500 or so
$ 9000
Possible- yes. Likely? No. Most "assault" rifles have a much shorter effective range. Hitting someone at a mile with a relatively low powered rifle would be a matter of chance.
Which rifle are you refering too??
It depends on which rifle. <><><> Agree with above. There is no one "assault rifle", and no one weight. The German StG44 weighed 10.2 lbs, the M16 weighs 7.1 lbs.
Your question is sort of like "How much does a car cost?" Depends on the car, and depends on the rifle. If you mean a civilian version (semi auto) of an AK47, about $400. If you mean a legal, select fire (semi or full auto) M16, about $16,000 plus fees.
For most purposes an assault rifle would be better than a submachine gun. Submachine guns fire pistol ammunition, and so are sometimes called machine pistols. Assault rifles fire rifle cartridges, and so have a much higher muzzle velocity with consequently greater impact on the target, and a much longer effective range.
New, about $380 New, about $380
roughly one pound, when loaded
A transferable, NFA stamped, full auto Kalashnikov rifle will run you well over $10,000.
Depended on the rifle. $5-$500
In halo reach there is some small moderations. The Rifle is slighty more accurate and has a new visual upgrade. But the assault rifle in Halo 3 is much better becuase it has more ammo (the rifle in reach only has 32 and the rifle in halo 3 has 60) and is the original version.
