low compression=piston rings/sleeve is no good. which means the engine needs a complete overhaul. repair shop will charge anywhere around 2000 bucks for labour alone minimun. then you still have to buy all parts and supplies. your looking at spending alot of cash. better option if money is a problem is find an engine from a salvage yard or rebuild shop and have it put in. will be cheaper.
Compression springs cost about $3-$5 per spring.
An engine compression test on a 99 Grand Prix GTP can cost $180
150psi
If you mean a cylinder with a volume of 1060.29 litres then it would cost $296.88. Divide this amount by 100 if you mean cl and 100 if you mean ml
Compression tights can be purchased from Under Armour. This would be the best place to buy them from as I have heard only good things from Under Armour. They usually cost around 50$.
i had mine repaired and it cost me $750
What ever it cost you for a motor rebuild. It varys from shop to shop.
A lot.....considering you can't replace a cylinder.... unless it's in a new engine block. :)
around 125 psi per cylinder
A good one starting from $1.3 K at least.
Answer If I was having a problem with high cylinder pressure. I would start with checking for a restriction in the muffler. I would unscrew the muffler and take it off then recheck the compression. If it is still high then check to make sure that the exhaust valve is going up and down and that the exhaust valve port is not restricted. That is where I would start. Good luck.
Which cylinder?A wheel / brake cylinder, maybe $100An 'engine cylinder' is going to hundreds, if not a thousand.
