Depends what kind of package and which update. I would recommend buying one off eBay to get the best prices. But make sure to find a software compatible to your computer or you will waste your money.
Technician computer
You'll have to go out and buy the newer software. From there, it'll probably have a CD or something to install it onto your computer (not entirely sure, since I've never done it). But there would be instructions that comes with it, that would be able to explain the process to you.
No specific action is needed. Just install as you would normally.
Windows 95 cannot be installed from inside a newer version of Windows. You must boot from a disc to install it. Windows 95 isn't compatible with newer computers anyway, and virtually all software that will run on Windows 95 will run on XP, so its a wasted effort.
A suitable software package to open PDF files on your computer would be something like Adobe's PDF reader. However - there are many more publishers of PDF readers.
Software written for Windows requires the Windows operating system to be available. If you have the Windows operating system installed on a Mac Book Pro then you can install and use Windows software. (See links below)
You would place the device in your computer, then install the software that came with it.
you would select Add or Remove programs in the control panel to install applications and software.
The same way you would install such software on a desktop, netbook, tablet, or any other computer. There is nothing special about installing software on a laptop.
You would have to format the hard-drive, and do a fresh install of Windows XP. You would also need to re-install all of your software - some of which may not work with XP (since XP is an old version of Windows)
You would have to reinstall windows or mac depending on which you have. If you paid for the back-up disks when you bought the computer you can use those, otherwise you will need to get a copy elsewhere.
The answer to this depends on the type of software you're trying to install. The easiest solution would be to download the software you want, if that's possible. If you have to install it from a disc, then the next easiest way to do it would be to use a USB CD/DVD drive which you connect to your netbook. You can use a remote computer's drive as well through the network, if you're using Windows for example you can set the remote computer's drive to shared, and then use Windows' "map network drive" feature on your netbook. This would allow you to access the remote drive as a drive letter on your netbook as if it was actually attached to your computer. Be aware though that this is much slower and will only work for certain types of software.
