more than the cars worth..But if you insist,,about $450.00 for Rings, bearings, gaskets, timing chain set.and Labor, which at most shops today is about 70 to 100 a hr..best way is to buy a car that's smashed at the rear and put that motor in.I just gave away a great low mileage 98 Lumina, couldn't sell it for $200.00 I get these given to me all the time by people who stop driving and have no more place to park the cars at seniors homes.
motor mounts?
if you dont have any oil in the cars motor that would be a reasin why its knocking
If they are both 3100 engines...yes. Direct swap. The only thing you MAY have to change would be the motor mounts.
I just replaced the starter motor on my 1990 4 cylinder engine Chevy Lumina. The starter is located in front of the oil pan. It was reachable and can be seen from under the front of the car a little to the right. You have to remove a three bolt attached plastic part by the oil pan to be able to get to one of the starter motor bolts. Good luck.
the timing marks are not on crankgear on cam gear Chevy Lumina 3.1 1995 would it be keyway to keyway
yes
Your 1992 Chevy Lumina will run with a bad 02 sensor. The engine will seem to be sluggish and the fuel mileage will go down.
1993 Volvo 850 : Where would a cold start injector be located - only see 5 injectors. ... 1995 Chevrolet Lumina : 1995 Chevy lumina van. motor dies at low speeds. more ... 1992 Ford Explorer : what would cause high oil pressure blow by on my 92 ... Assuming you already have a complete engine, a deluxe engine rebuild kit would contain rings, bearings, gaskets, oil pump, and timing chain.
To replace a blown head gasket on a 1998 Chevy Lumina, it would cost between $18 and $174. This depends on the brand part and any labor costs.
Did The 1997 Chevy Lumina have a electronic fuel relay shut off button if say you ran out of gas would that button kick off if so how do I switch that back on so my car will run.
