Do it yourself under a 100$. Have a mechanic do it they probably will charge 25-50$ an hour. Plus marked up parts. Without knowing the year its hard to tell. It isn't going to be cheap at all though.
IF BOTH HEADS ARE REMOVED ABOUT 900.00
yes
to replace the intake gasket would be about 4 hours labor. parts would run about $50
No not hardly. The only thing that stuff will do is stop up your heater core and radiator. They have never made anything in a can are bottle that would fix a blown head gasket.
There are many options, but the easiest would probably be the the LT1 350 block. You can get them out of a lot of other chevy's.
To replace a blown head gasket on a 1998 Chevy Lumina, it would cost between $18 and $174. This depends on the brand part and any labor costs.
Not necessarily, but you will have to pull the timing cover off to see what's going on.
Chevy didn't offer a 350 in an 86 Camaro, but if they did, it would theoretically work in an 87 Caprice.
A vacuum leak can do that. Check the gasket at the base of the throttle body for a vacuum leak.
No it will not. To long.
I am going to guess, the cooling system wont quit bubbling in your Chev Caprice (or similar) ? Usually indicates a blown Head gasket or cracked head.
It will go right in there no problem.
