I would recommend taking this repair to a qualified mechanic.
Any local Nissan dealer would have multiple Nissan Versa Hatchback models available. If one is not aware of having a local Nissan dealer, one can visit the Nissan USA website and enter their zipcode to view Nissan dealers near them.

It costs about $2000 for a Nissan Versa to have full coverage car insurance in Salt Lake City Utah.
I am having my starter replaced today on a 1999 Nissan Maxima for a total of $610 including parts and labor.
you need to pull the valve cover and oil pan and front cover and then you can replace the upper timing chain on the altima but if you are going to do this job i would recommend you replace the gear that hooks the lower and upper chain together this is called the idler gear and it is the one that causes the noise all the time.
The MSRP or manufacturers suggested selling price depends on the model that you would want to buy. The Nissan Versa comes in a sedan and a hatchback and varies in prices starting at $11,900 for the 1.6S up to $16,890 for the 1.6 SL.
ca20? remove all the belts, water pump pulley, underdrive pulley, timing chain cover and timing belt and the water pump is accessible. I would replace the timing belt too.
You don't have a timing belt, you have a timing chain..(that's for the other foreign automaker...that charge way to much at the lot..but are way too cheap to give you what you pay for.) you timing chain is located under you valve cover gasket, you would have to remove it in order to get at the chain.
how to remove and install water pump on 1996 Nissan maximaI just had mine done, the part is about $110 from Nissan, aftermarket is about $90. the labour alone is what drives the price. Nissan told me it would take 7 hours to do @ $100 per hour. I went to an independent mechanic and he said it would take about 6 hours. But he didnt charge me 100 per hour. its an internal water pump under the timing chain. ***If the car has over 100,000 miles, ask what is the additional cost to re-tension the timing chain (the timing chain stretches over time).
Since the Murano has a metal chain as opposed to a rubber timing belt, you should theoretically never need to replace the chain. It's not that it will last forever, but it should last as long as the other major engine components. Most modern engines can run 200,000 to 250,000 miles or more if properly maintained. The only reason you would want to change the timing chain is if you were dismantling the engine to replace the valves, pistons, or seals.
i would like to know as well
