A standard detonating fuse uses a sensitive primary explosive like Mercury fulminate, picric acid, or some such to initiate the main charge or sometimes a booster charge which will then set off the main charge. The main charge is usually an insensitive high explosive like TNT or PTEN. These fuses are initiated by either an electric current or a fuse. NONEL fuses also called Shock Tube detonators utilize a multilayered small diameter tube coated on the innermost wall with a reactive explosive compound. When initiated the explosive propagates a low energy signal down the length of the tube to the booster or explosive. NONEL fuses are less prone to accidental detonation unlike standard fuses which can sometimes be detonated by static electricity, and since the detonation is kept within the tube they are less dangerous if they do go off accidentally
Detonating fuses involve the use of electricity for initiating explosions. Nonel propogates a low energy signal along a chemical coating on the inside of a plastic tube to the main charge. Please see the link.

Several different materials. One of them is Uranium 238. While it will not normally undergo a nuclear chain reaction, being in the heart of a detonating nuclear weapon is not normal.
There are three different fuse locations, what fuse specifically?
Positively not. Never ever use a different size fuse in a circuit. The fuse is there to protect the wiring in the circuit from overheating and catching on fire.
