Most people have heard of the nuclear powered submarines. They can stay under water for a long time because they have basically unlimited energy. The submarines are powered by a nuclear reactor causing a series of nuclear reactions. The submarine uses the nuclear reactions as power. Generally it will get converted to mechanical or electrical energy (both types of Kinetic energy).
