As a baby their diet should be 70% live food 30% fruits and veggies. As an adult it switches to the opposite. The prefer veggies to fruit, and mostly greens. Always leave meal worms and veggies out so they have a choice and feed them crickets 2x daily. All food should be no bigger than the space between their eyes.

What does a bearded dragon semi-arboreal mean?

Well, in this case "semi" means partly or sometimes, (technically it means half) and "arboreal" means tree dwelling. So a semi-arboreal bearded dragon is one that prefers to spend some portion of it time up in a tree rather than on the ground. It is commonly held that juvenile bearded dragons are often semi-arboreal, while adults tend to be ground dwellers.

How do you know if your bearded dragon wants to mate?

If your bearded dragon is more than 18 months old it is considered within mating age, anything less than 18 months and your bearded dragon is too young. If you are not sure of your bearded dragon's age is of mating age and it is a male then you can introduce it for a short time to another male. If you observe territorial behavior in your male than it is of mating age.

Will writing on a bearded dragon with a sharpie marker hurt it?

Yes!!!! If you want to color on it (not near eyes, mouth, etc.) then find non toxic washable markers, that's the best. However, do this only if you have to because even though this won't hurt it it will annoy it and stress it out so try not to do this too often.

Will a bearded dragon make a whole room smell?

No, Bearded Dragons themselves do not smell bad. Bearded Dragon feaces do smell however and that's why they need to be removed from the tank straight away. Depending what your Bearded Dragon eats can also affect the feaces smell. For example cockroaches or woodies smell worse than when they eat crickets. It's not an over powering smell and it doesn't smell straight away, only if the feaces isn't removed and the tank is not regularly cleaned and sand replaced.

How does a bearded dragon fight off another bearded dragon?

I haven't seen much fighting out of beardies but here's what I've seen: it usually starts out with the head bobbing up and down and their beards turning black and puffing out, then some hissing may take place and then they lunge at each other every so often trying to bite and claw each other. It is sometimes a stand off though.
