I was wondering how often the landlord needs to replace carpets in NH? If someone else lived there and I/m moving in, what do they have to do?
Thanks
Sally
Yes, it is appropriate for a Landlord to give a resident pointers on how to care for new carpet. It would also be appropriate to discuss care of a new oven or refrigerator. The investment is the landlord's and the tenant is expected to live in an apartment without damaging it (except for standard wear and tear). We have rental units and have put new carpet in for residents who have lived in our building a long time, we also have painted for tenants, replaced refrigerators, stoves, heating units. All of these at no charge to the tenant. When a long-term tenant moves out, we have a whole remodel to accomplish in order to re-rent and get good tenants who want things nice and are likely to keep them nice. - A Landlord's point of view.
nope - you do not replace old carpet with new carpet at your cost. PERIOD
not something you really want to do will be a big mess easier to pull them up then put the new carpet down so you have some concrete or plywood to put the glue on will be hard work to pull the tiles up but your new carpet will stay down longer
I am looking to put down new carpet tiles in my home. Where can cheap carpet tiles be bought?
When I had my carpets redone I went to this website. They are very affordable as well.
i heard somewhere that carpet can be dyed to a different color if you really hate it, try selling the carpet on craigslist and replacing it ----------- Read your contract, the store I install for will replace it free.
Complain to the landlord.
First, I would recommend measuring the room to get the right size of carpet. Second, make sure that the floor is clean. Put down the padding first and tack it down, then the carpet, you will want to have a carpet stretcher handy. Make sure that the carpet is tight and them trim aound the edges.
Yes but it is not as effcient because the carpet insulates it.

Pennies under the carpet are for good luck when moving into a new home, you would put pennies heads up so you could be blessed with luck in your new home.
I went to a salvage yard and got mine looks bran new for less than 75.00
