You should perform regular backups of a hard drive at least weekly.
Daily backups are ideal.

Yes.
I am guessing you mean "Do backups stay in the PC after Format?" The answer is No, if you store the backups of the files on the same hard drive you are formatting. Its not technically a backup then anyway. To make a proper backup, you need to copy your files to a USB key, burn them to a CD or DVD, or copy them to another computer or hard drive.
I don't believe you can recover a file from a USB drive if you don't have the USB drive. I keep backups of the files.
Backing up data in the same drive can provide immediate access to backups without requiring additional storage devices, making it convenient for quick recovery. However, it's important to note that this practice poses a risk; if the drive fails, is damaged, or is compromised, both the original data and the backup could be lost. Therefore, while it may be useful for temporary or supplementary backups, relying solely on the same drive is not a safe long-term strategy. Ideally, backups should be stored on separate, reliable media or cloud solutions for better data protection.

Backing up a drive is a great way to ensure your data is preserved in case of hard drive failure or accidental deletion. Here are the steps to back up a drive: Connect the drive to your computer. This can be done through a USB port or over a network. Download and install any necessary backup software. This will allow you to easily select which files you want to back up. Select the type of backup you want to perform. This can include full drive backups or individual file backups. Select the destination for your backup. This could be an external hard drive an online storage service or a secondary computer. Start the backup process. Depending on the size of your drive this could take several hours. Verify that the backup was successful. You should be able to open the files from the backup to confirm that they are intact.Following these steps will help you back up your drive quickly and easily. By taking the time to back up your drive you can rest assured that your files are safe and secure.
Making backups is a very important task that we should make regularly because unexpected things can happen such as hard disk crashes, unintentional file deletions. Sometimes failures can even happen for unexplainable reasons. Making a backup to a removable drive or use online storage is very important.
To connect a DSL printer, fax machine, computer, and backups, ensure that all devices are on the same network, preferably through a router. Connect the printer and fax machine to the computer via USB or network sharing if available. Use backup software to schedule regular backups of important files on the computer to an external hard drive or cloud service. Ensure that the DSL modem is connected to the router to provide internet access for online backups.
Regular backups of your data is the best strategy for avoiding a computer disaster. Store the back up in an offsite location, such as a friend's house or safety deposit box. This will allow you to restore your data if your hard drive is completely dead.
