Yes if the air bag has an on/off switch. But if this is a car with a back seat and not a vehicle with no back seat, place the child in the rear. This is the safest place for a child.
Yes, but if there is a air bag it has to be turned off and the child must be in a booster seat.
If the seat belt is jammed because of an accident it will have to be replaced along with the air bag computer module below the center console. The front seat belts are active belt just like the air bag in your car. It is possible for the air bag module to set off only the charge in the seat belt and make it lock in place and not set off the front or side air bags. If this is the case, when you turn the key in the on position, the air bag light on the dash will not flash three time and go out, but will remain on indicating a problem with the system.
yes if you can turn off the airbag and they have to way 80 pounds and be at least 4ft9
you arew not supposed to turn off the airbags in any vehicle so children can sit in the front seat , children are supposed to be safely seated with seat belts on in the rear seats
i have replaced air bags in seat on 2002 ford tauras in the seat and cant get light to go out flashing code 13
Why???? You cannot manually turn the air bag off. It is illegal to do so without written permission from NHTSA. However the bag will be turned off or the intensity of the air bag will be lessened anytime a child under a certain weight is sitting in the seat. Want to turn it off, place a bag weighing around 10 lbs in the seat.
A passenger air bag can be dangerous for a kid in a child seat. The cut off switch allows the airbag to be temporarily disconnected for the safety of a child passenger.
There is no button. The air bag will turn on/off automatically when someone with the required weight is sitting in the seat. If your engine is running when someone sits in that seat and the air bag doesn't reset itself just turn the car off and when you restart it it should reset.
Not unless there is a way for you to turn off the passenger air bag. If you cannot turn the air bag off do not take your toddler for a ride in this car.
The crash sensors are in the front of the vehicle , so ( NO ) * not unless the front of the vehicle crashes into something with enough force to activate the air bag (s)
yes it can unless it has been disabled.
