Tonsils can be safely removed from around age 4 and up to an elderly age (which rarely happens since most people get them out when they are young). A person would need to consult with his or her general practioner doctor or ear/nose/throat doctor to have a determination made whether the tonsils should come out or not.

∙ 14y agoI don't think there is a very good age but it is better to have them taken out before you are 18. I would've preferred to have mine taken out when I was 12, maybe 13.
