A horse never takes care of itself on Howrse.com. If you don't log on one day it will stay the same as the day before, but if you log on but don't take care of it its health, moral and energy will go down. Add me as a friend on the game! (I'm Spikeh)

Four year olds are not suitable to take care of a 1100lbs beasts. Unless the parents/guardians are horse knowledgeable and will be taking care of the horse, I am going to say no. A horse is generally not a recommended pet for a four year old for obvious reasons.
as long as you love horses, it shouldn't matter. but be in mind that you should be finacally prepared to take care of the horse and you should have enought time to put in with the horse. You should know about the horse's needs

It depends on a lot of things. If your horse is walking or running, if it's a fast horse or slow horse, if it's fat or skinny, old or young, if it likes you or not, if it stops to relieve itself a lot or not, etc
Only until it is five years old. Thats a short age to take care of itself.

A mare takes the foal and keeps it safe until its 8 months old then it can take care of its self. the mare makes sure no horse will hurt it and the mare feeds it:)i hope i could help!!
The color of a horse has nothing to do with how you take care of it (with the exception of certain very pale colors). A yearling will need adequate nutrition, room to roam around and play and a companion of some sort. Around this time you can begin bridle training the horse and teaching how to long line.
