Four year olds are not suitable to take care of a 1100lbs beasts. Unless the parents/guardians are horse knowledgeable and will be taking care of the horse, I am going to say no. A horse is generally not a recommended pet for a four year old for obvious reasons.
A male horse under four years old is a Colt. A male horse over four years old is a Stallion. A male horse that is castrated is a Gelding no matter how old it is. A female horse under four years old is a Filly. A female horse over four years is a Mare.
If you want to ride him... yes. You should have done it earlier if he is going to be a riding horse
Technically a foal is under a year old. At a year they are yearlings. They aren't fully mature until they are four years old.
If a horse is said to be rising 3, that means that the horse is a 2 year old but is nearly 3. In this same way, a rising 4 year old is a 3 year old that is nearly 4 and so on.
depends on how "big" the four year old is
Absolutely! A horse is not finished maturing until they are over four and a half years.
A foal is a horse of either gender that is less than a year old. A filly is a female horse under four years old and colt is a male horse also under four years. This is not to be confused with a pony which is a horse that is less than 14.2 hands high.
A four year old is four years old or 1460 days old or 48 months or you get the idea a four year old is four

The Derby is an annual horse race held at Epsom racecourse (England) for four year old male horses.
Yes. An IQ over 120 is considered great for anyone, so for a four year old, it's fantastic.
A filly or colt can begin reproducing as young as a year old, but that can cause problems for the horses later on. No horse should be bred just because someone wants a foal. A horse should be purebred, registered, have at a minimum good conformation and temperament. It would also be best for the horse to have a good show record. Horses purchased solely to breed from should be at least three or four years old.
