You can be any age but children under the age of 12 have quick chat which mean you only get to use the phrases that are there.
Quick chat is a real pain so I would just say I'm older than 12. Which then you can type whatever you want (which also means swearing but it only comes up with the first letter then stars e.g. a****** = a-hole but none the less it's swearing).
