Believe it or not, there never was a real chainsaw massacre, even though at the beginning of the movie they say it's a true story. Gunnar Hansen (Leatherface) pointed this out in the commentary of the DVD. He says that if you notice, it says the killings took place in the summer of 1972, and this was the exact time they were FILMING the movie. However, Tobe Hooper did base this loosely around storys he had heard of Ed Gein when he was younger.
The Texas Chainsaw Massacre never happened in real life, and Leatherface is a fictional character. See the Related Question.
The story is 37 years old as of 2010 (the original film was released in 1973).

FreddyThey are simply jealous and they need to leave him alone or "1, 2, he will come for you." Freddy Krueger is not even real...and if freddy was real people make fun of him because they want to show they're not scaredMy Opinion On Freddy:I believe people make fun of freddy because of the almost comical way he executes his victims, some of the ideas in the first movie consisted of seemingly silly things, such as when he kills a victim with his own bedsheets, and when the phone is being held and it turns into his mouth, and at the end of the first movie he pulls nancy's mother through a tiny window in the front door and the mother is clearly a puppet when this happens, i think at the time of release this would have all been scary, but is difficult to appriciate in the modern day because of all the 'shocking' gore based films that are currently in circulation.another thing that i think could cause people to make fun of him is that some of the movies really weren't horror movies (for example the third one:dream warriors) the third movie became more of an action style film, and the characters featured were almost humerous because their character roles were so bizzare and quirky. im no expert on the films, but i have seen the first five and this is just my opinion on them, i do agree with the first answer and that people make fun of him simply because he scares them and the humour is a way of pretending that the character isn't scary.hope this helps you :)
The only real noticeable difference is the level of acceptibility within the majority of society and the commonplace of violence, coupled with such inventions as the internet, that allow people to see far worse than what they could in a movie all at the click of a mouse. When you compare such films as Saw or Hostile for example, with films like The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and Last House on the Left, it seems ridiculous that those films were at one time banned in many areas around the world but it was simply the mark of a simpler time.
It has basically the same plot as the Texas Chainsaw Massacre. A group of young people traveling through a rural area stumble upon a sadistic, psychotic family of serial killers. You can read a complete summary and synopsis at the Related Link below. This movie is really terrible. I mean, REALLY terrible. Unless you like bad horror movies, I would skip this one, and just rent the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre instead. Honestly, all of Rob Zombie's movies are so awful, I can't understand why they keep getting made. He is perhaps THE most incompetent filmmaker alive today. Do not waste your money renting any of his movies. The only thing good about this movie is the soundtrack. Which is why Rob Zombie should stick to making music, and leave the filmmaking to people who know what they're doing.
Most cherokeee in the US today live in either Oklahoma or North Carolina. They are the largest native tribe in the Unted States.
That's what im looking up... someone said that he lives next to them and someone else saw him at walmart!
Leather Face was a fictional character from the movie "A Texas Chainsaw Massacre" and was not a real person. In the original movie, he is in the very last shot, throwing his chainsaw around in a manic frenzy, and is not killed. He was however, based on a real person, in part, who was a famous serial killer; Ed Gein, who is dead.

It was a work of fiction. So no, there are none, because they never existed to begin with.
