First question: is this a hammer or a hammerless shotgun? If a hammer gun it looks like potential year of manufacture was 1895. If hammerless, around 1901. If the firearm is in decent shape, you have something there. I have a hammerless twelve bore s x s field grade with the serial number 307204, it looks like mine was manufactured in 1906. You may Google "lc smith 12 gauge year of manufacture" and find more information. Best of luck.
1902
