If the gear on the blade on your rival is bad. Abbotts Business Machines, ask for Mitch. 858-268-0435 can repair it.
From the Rival people! Sounds too good to be true? The number is 1-800-323-9519! I had the same part go out on my girlfriend's slicer. The part number for the idler gear for slicer model 1042 is Part#04XRL10423 It is a mere $3 plus shipping! Granted, I wasn't very happy paying $5.95 shipping, but at $9, it's still much cheaper than buying a new slicer. Hope this helps!
I saw a used one on eBay recently for $19.95.
I have had replacement washers made and offer them for sale; I also offer replacement suction cup feet. Inquiries to lallin@juno.com
You can check with Rival through their website. However, a replacement cord will likely cost almost as much as a complete new skillet. That model complete skillet is for sale on Amazon for $28.57. Good luck!
The very best place to start is to find out the make and model of the cheese slicer. Then go online and see if you can find just the wire to fix the other one. Hope this helps and thank you.
go to the rival website and order a book of that model or check amazon.com
