well this is very interesting the answer is about 5 weeks Unless they're going to new homes, you can separate the males from the females and keep the girls with the mother. they need to be completely weened first, you need to make sure that they are eating food and drinking water and not longer nursing, remove them before the mom has any more babies

than you buy the mother rat but if the baby rats are young than get them all. that way you have a mother rat and baby rats to look after.
All rats need to be gradually introduced to new rats before they get along. Get them out of their cage onto a neutral area, with no food around, and let them meet. do this every so often. It is normal for the older rats to show dominance over the younger ones.
So long as those baby rats are all boys, yes, but it should be taken slowly, as some adult males will kill baby rats.

Yes baby rats can hump each other. There is nothing to worry about though. This is just called "bulling".
