Reese Chronological Bible. The Reese Chronological Bible complied by Frank R. Klassen (Bethany House Publishers, 1977) indicates that the Israelites entered the Promised Land in 1422 B.C. (Joshua 1) and that Joshua died in 1372 B.C (Joshua 24:29). If this is true, this means that Joshua was in the Promised Land for 50 years. Since Joshua 24:29 says he died at the age of 110 years, this would imply that Joshua was 60 years old when he entered the land. Also, he would have been 20 years of age at the time he gave the good report to the nation of Israel.

How old was Joshua when he led the Israelites across the Jordan River?

The biblical account is a little confusing when it comes to the age and status of Joshua. For example, the Book of Numbers identifies Joshua in quick succession as the young man and servant of Moses, then as a ruler of the tribe of Ephraim. In any event, his early appearance in the Exodus means he must have been a relatively old man by the time he led the Israelites across the Jordan. To have achieved all that he is credited with, he must have remained a strong and active leader until his death at the age of 110 years.

How old was Joshua when he left Egypt?

Joshua died at the age of 110 (Joshua 24:29). Tradition places this event twenty-eight years after the Israelites entered Canaan (Israel), meaning that he was 82 when he entered the Land. Subtract the forty years in the Wilderness (Deuteronomy 1:3), and the result is that Joshua was 42 during the Exodus.See also the Related Link.More about Joshua

What led the israelites into Jericho?

Your question is worded unclearly; here are possible answers: 1) God's command (Joshua 6:2). 2) Joshua, who led the Israelites for 28 years after the death of Moses (Joshua ch.1 to ch.24). 3) The Kohanim, who led the circling of the city (Joshua ch.6). 4) The report of the scouts, saying that the land, and Jericho, were ready for taking (see Joshua ch.2). 5) Rahab (ibid), who stated that the Israelites had nothing to be apprehensive about. 6) The fact that Jericho was considered the key entry point to the rest of Canaan (midrash Tanhuma, section Behaalotcha 18).
