She did make a nursing home that held 12-15 people at a time. It was called "The Harriet Tubman Home."
Harriet Tubman was born Araminta "Minty" Ross to slave parents, Harriet ("Rit") Green and Ben Ross. Her parents were owned by Mary Brodess, and by Mary's second husband Anthony Thompson, respectively. Although she married a free man, John Tubman, in 1844, she did not escape from slavery until 1849, fleeing from Maryland to Pennsylvania, a free state. She returned, beginning in 1850, to help her family and others escape.

No Harriet Tubman was born into slavery and she is from the south because at the time that's where slavery was but if you went north you could get and be free. So Harriet was from the south and came to to the north.
Harriet tubman did not enjoy her life, she was whipped frequently as she was told to look after a baby and every time the baby cried she was whipped harshly.
