∙ 11y agoCleopatra's children were not murdered. In fact her daughter was given a large dowry and lavish wedding by Octavian. She became a queen and lived a long life. Her two brothers were "educated according to their stations" according to Seutonius, which tells us that they lived because you can't educate a dead child. The only child of Cleopatra to meet death was Caesarion, but we don't know why or how. (That business of Octavian being worried about Caesarion being Caesar's son, is nothing but a lot of hype by modern writers.) Caesarion was 17 year old when he died, a grown man by ancient standards.
