First of all, in leaves of a plant, there is this substance called chlorophyll, a liquid type substance that has the ability to absorb certain chemicals in the oxygen we breathe. Anyway, the chlorophyll contains these even smaller organelles called choroplasts that actually do all the absorbing. The oxygen we breathe contains, carbon dioxide, oxygen, and other gases but plants only use one gas and that is carbon dioxide. And there are many different fluids on the Earth that we walk on including water, acid, lava (yes lava is considered a fluid), and other substances but plants only use water. And one more analogy type sentence is the solids we see. They're many different solids we can see including plastic, steel, sugar, yeast, and bark from a tree but plants only use sugar. So you do this: Sugar+Water+Carbon Dioxide yields or = oxygen+

∙ 12y agoPlants get their energy through sunlight. Photosynthesis is the process by which they can make their own energy/food thru sunlight.
Another way they get their energy is from their roots. Trapped heat from the sun allows the roots to take in that energy. They also get it from rich soil, organisms and plants that break up in the soil eventually get taken back by the plant.
